Parade theme “Let’s Get Excited” chosen for Hermann’s July 4th celebration

Non-profit organizations who are interested in taking part in Hermann’s Fourth of July celebration with a booth at Riverfront Park should contact the Hermann Area Chamber of Commerce.
Hermann’s Fourth of July celebration will take place at Riverfront Park and the downtown amphitheater on Friday, July 4, and the Chamber is making plans for the annual event.
Vendor booths will open at 4 p.m.
This year’s parade theme will be “Let’s Get Excited.”
The parade will start at 4 p.m. at Eighth and Washington streets in the vicinity of the elementary school, and will end downtown at First and Gutenburg.
There will be kids activities at Riverfront Park starting with sign-up for the Kids’ Tractor Pull and turtle races at 4:30 p.m. The tractor pull will start at 5:30. The turtle races will begin following the kids’ tractor pull.
Children are asked to bring their own turtles or bring extra ones for others.
A patriotic band concert by the Hermann City Band will start at 7 p.m. at the Clara Eitmann Messmer Amphitheater at 4th and Gutenburg. Those attending the concert should bring their own lawn chairs, or they can bring blankets and sit on the lawn.
The fireworks on the riverfront, which draws thousands of local residents and guests, will start at 9:15 p.m.
