The Lutheran Womens Missionary League (LWML) of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Hermann recently invited the ladies of other church groups in town to help them make pillow case dresses for little girls in Africa.
The ladies of St. George Church Sodality group responded. Together the two organizations made and sent 49 dresses to be enjoyed by girls in need of them in Africa.
The construction is simple – a pillow case or about a yard of material, a few seams – a long ribbon  – and the results are certain to make every girl feel beautiful and special.
Shown modeling a few of the dresses are the granddaughters of Liz Schroeder – Jaime and Gemma Speichinger. They were so excited about the dresses that Jaime promptly sat down and made one for her American Girl doll.
