Archer Daniels Midland Company recently donated $2,400 to St. George School in Hermann for its educational programs.
Micah Jensen, manager of ADM in Rhineland, presented the check to Kim Hoemann, teacher at St. George School.
The donation was given through ADM Cares, a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
Through this funding, students will have the opportunity to participate in a robotics-based science and math program and participate in First Lego League (FLL). FLL is a robotics program designed to get children excited about science and technology. It teaches them valuable employment and life skills.
