New band for 25th annual Cajun Concert this weekend

A couple of new faces will be in the band for this weekend’s annual Cajun Concert on the Hill.
Brett Denais & T-Rouge (Little Red), a Cajun band from the bayous of Louisiana, will be fiddlin and foot stompin’ when the 25th annual Cajun Concert kicks off with a Friday night event, from 6-10, at Stone Hill Winery.
Brett Denais brings with him over 100 combined years of experienced Cajun musicians from South Louisiana. The band consists of Denais on accordion and vocals, Donny Broussard on steel guitar and vocals, Stanley Benoit on fiddle and vocals, Butch Menard on drums and vocals, and Joey Dugan on bass.
A unique feature about this band is that each member can play a variety of instruments. With the variety of instruments that these musicians master, the T-Rouge Cajun Band can and will bring traditional Cajun music “With a Flair” to Hermann.
Denais’ enthusiastic personality and energy is present in his performance on and off the band stand.
Cajun dancers will also be dancing and giving lessons during the three-day event that winds up Sunday afternoon with a Mardi Gras parade on the winery grounds that will finish in the pavilion.
Saturday and Sunday music will be will be from 1-5 p.m.
The chefs at Vintage Restaurant will be preparing and serving authentic Cajun food from gumbo, red beans, jambalaya and more at the pavilion.
A single day pass to the event is $14; a two-day pass is $24; and a three-day pass is $34.
