Most people can’t wait to kick off their shoes after a long day of being on their feet. For Norman Horn, that’s especially true.

Halfway through a six-month journey, Horn is spending every day on his feet — walking across the country to raise awareness about childhood cancer.

His travel brought him through Hermann and New Haven this weekend. He spent Saturday night at the Stone Giraffe in Hermann; Saturday’s rest stop was Flamingo Key Bed & Breakfast south of New Haven.

The owners of those businesses were gracious enough to provide Horn a place to stay as he made his way toward St. Louis.
