The Brush & Palette Club’s annual summer fund raiser for restoration of the Hermann City Cemetery is Sunday in the Upper City Park.
Cub officials say a successful event is critical to the organization achieving its goal of raising $30,000 between June 1 and Sept. 1 to match a $30,000 potential contribution by an anonymous donor.
Every dollar raised on Sunday will have the effect of two dollars because of the proposed match.
The ice cream social and silent auction begins at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m. a concert will be presented by the St. Paul UCC Handbell Choir in the Rotunda.
Half of the proceeds of a free-will offering received during the concert will go toward cemetery restoration.
At 3 p.m. a live auction will open.
Preview and pre-bid times for the live and silent auctions are tomorrow and Friday from 1-5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon.
The preview location is the GCHS Community Meeting Room at 311 Schiller St.
A $2,500 cash raffle is another of the fundraising activities of the Club. Tickets are available at First Bank, Missouri Bank, Swiss Meats, Advertiser-Courier office, Hermann City Hall, Red Barn and American Family.
Tickets will also be available on Sunday in the park.
Contributions to the cemetery restoration project may be sent to The Brush & Palette Club, P.O. Box 145, Hermann, MO 65041.
