Charlotte Malin and husband, David, and her daughter, Rhonda Ostapchuk have opened a taxi service in Hermann.
River City Taxi will serve the Hermann area only, and will be operating seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. until 2 o’clock in the morning.
The six passenger silver van will take passengers to Hermann area wineries, B&Bs, restaurants, bars and downtown shops.
Charlotte Malin said the taxi will also meet the Amtrak passengers at the riverfront, and on certain requests, would take local passengers to other stops.
River City Taxi started operating in August. The charge is $3 a person or $5 a couple.

Charlotte Malin, whose roots are in southeast Missouri, has worked for a steak house restaurant chain, setting up new stores. She’s lived at Lake of the Ozarks, and is now happy with the start-up of the new taxi business in Hermann.
