Hermann freshman Grant Uthlaut qualified for the state cross country meet when he placed sixth in the Class 2 District 2 meet on Saturday at the Pike County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green.
Uthlaut’s time over the 5K course was 17:58.4. He will run Saturday at 11:10 a.m. at Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City.
Andrew Riddell, a junior, was the Bearcats’ second running to finish. He took 38th in 20:14.96, while senior Jon Baumstark was 39th in 20:18.63. Dalton Gillig, a Hermann sophomore, placed 47th with a time of 20:42.96.
Isaac Brooks and Grant Raterman, both freshmen, were 50th and 55th, respectively. Brooks’ time was 21:24.40, while Raterman’s was 22:44.62.
