We should all be able to say, with pride, I remember the first time I voted. And, we should also be able to say that we never missed a chance to vote.
Next Tuesday, voter turnout will be high–locally, in Missouri and across the nation. It always is highest in a presidential election.
In the November 2008 general election, nearly 75 percent of the voters in Gasconade County went to the polls. The Missouri Secretary of State predicted a 76 percent turnout four years, and although Robin Carnahan hasn’t yet released her projection, it should be close to that figure again.
There are so many important races to be decided, and we should cast a vote for the candidate of our choice. As the saying goes, it is our right and our privilege.
