On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 15, 16, and 17, the Herman High School Players will present The 1940’s Radio Hour.
This musical comedy authentically recreates some of those “days gone by” with a live broadcast of The Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade from the Hotel Astor’s Algonquin Room on December 21, 1942. The spirit of that bygone era when the world was at war and pop music meant “Blue Moon,” “Strike Up the Band” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” comes alive again this weekend at Hermann High School.
This show features a large number of talented HHS students. Cast members include Steven Emmons, Emma Gloe, Goody Romick, Katie Kernen, Sam Robb, Summer Schacht, Cullen Horstmann, Torrie Roodhouse, Alex Rioux, Everett Knudsen, John Baumstark, Trevor Hartman, Jessica Zeiss, Shania Branson, Katie Korostynski and Nicole Leimkuehler.
The show is directed by Michael Romick with musical direction by Patrick Dell and choreography by Bethany Herron. It promises to be an evening filled with laughter, drama and song. Curtain time is at 7:15 all three nights. Tickets are $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults.
