Hermann’s annual Holiday House Tour is Dec. 1

Several distinctive and historic homes are featured on this year’s Holiday House Tour, sponsored by the Hermann Area Chamber of Commerce. The tour will be held on December 1 from 2-7 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Hermann Welcome Center, 312 Market Street, or by calling 486-2744 or 800-932-8687. Maps will be provided and all homes on the tour will be clearly marked with signs.
“This has been a very successful event for many years and is regarded as one of Hermann’s great Holiday traditions,” said Pam Peterson, chair of this year’s tour. “We are very excited about the variety of homes that are included; none of them have ever been open for tours before and three of the houses date to the 19th century.”
Homes will homes be decorated on both the inside and outside.
Homes on the 2012 Holiday House Tour include:
• Klenk House, (est. 1848), the home of the Benigno Family, 301 Gellert Street, Hermann.
• Baumstark Family Home, (est. 1800s), 2322 Boy Scout Road, Hermann.
• LeBrell Family Home (est. 1993), 11575 Highway 100, Berger.
• Elbert Family Home/Cedar Knoll Farm (est. 1898), 4360 Lyon School Road, Berger.

The other tour stop is Jillsie’s Bistro & Boutique, 201 Schiller Street, where refreshments will be served. Tickets can also be purchased there after the Hermann Welcome Center closes.
