The Hermann Volunteer Fire Department held its annual election of officers at Fire Station No. 1 on Sept. 11.
Members re-elected Dave Schulte as fire chief. Bruce Cox was elected first assistant chief, and Clay Stephan was chosen second assistant chief.
Other officers elected were Glen Gabathuler, secretary; Glenn Brandt, treasurer; and Shane Michel, finance secretary. Jim Hoerstkamp and Mike Heying were elected to the purchasing committee, and Jeff Berkemeyer was elected to the screening committee.
At the November meeting, the chiefs appointed the following: Travis Schulte and Jessie Witthaus, captains; Mike Heying, Kevin Speckhals, Clinton Overkamp, Jeff Englert, Clyde Stephan and Joe Scheer, lieutenants.
Dave Rawlings, pastor of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, will serve as chaplain.
