President Janet Ocheskey chose inspirational thoughts based on rejoicing and appreciating the beauties of nature while recognizing the small accomplishments of individuals engaged in mission work to open the United Methodist Women meeting on Sunday, Nov. 4.
Treasurer Helen Boggs presented the budget for 2013 and answered questions about the items and amounts scheduled for them. Approval was given to the budget as prepared by Helen.
The change in date of awarding the Special Mission Recognition Pin from December to October was discussed which prompted June Kiefer, this year’s recipient of the pin, to explain the “trouble” she had caused her family as they were attempting to make sure she was in attendance when she would be recognized as this year’s recipient. Their difficulty provided many smiles and chuckles.
