Obituaries

Juanita May Jett, 85, of Mexico, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Lockewood Park Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Jones officiating. Burial was  in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Juanita was born April 3, 1927 in Lexington, the daughter of Dorsey Jackson and Bessie (Munkers) Williams. On Nov. 18, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas, she married Elmer “Squirt”  Jett. He died on Nov. 11, 1983.
Mrs. Jett was a member of Lockewood Park Baptist Church and had worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory. She enjoyed fishing, camping and bowling, which she went to state about every year.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Eikermann of Hermann, Joyce Carr of Mexico and Karen Brandenburg (Gene Berrey) of Centralia; nine grandchildren, Chad (Jenny) Schneider of Hermann, Sheri Schneider of Hermann, Jason (Missy) Eikermann of Hermann, Nathan Eikermann of Hermann, Nichole (Corey) Landolt of Hermann, Vaughn (Barb) Workes of Benton City, Brandi Crow of Mexico, Kelly Mattingly of Phoenix, Ariz., and Eric Brandenburg of San Diego, Calif.; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren with two more expected in January; and two sisters, Melissa Burton of Independence and Betty (Dee) Duncan of Higginsville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three great-grandchildren, Gavin and Sophia Eikermann and Kassiah Schneider; a son-in-law, Stan Carr; three brothers, infant Herbert Williams, Walt Williams and Bill Williams; three sisters, Jean Fairchild, Ruth Fairchild and infant Alice Williams; three brothers-in-law, Clyde and Charlie Fairchild and Ed Burton; and one sister-in-law, Jeannie Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Lockewood Park Baptist Church, St. Paul UCC in Hermann or Audrain County Hospice. All may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.

Marion  Lee  Pyatt, 64, of New Florence, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at New Florence Nursing & Care Center.
Mr. Pyatt was born in Hermann on March 3, 1948, the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Martin) Pyatt.
He was the widower of Mary Ann  (Leach) Pyatt. They were  married Dec. 24, 1976 at Jonesburg. She preceded him in death on September 7, 2010.
Marion served in the U.S. Army.  He was an over the road truck driver.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Ellsworth and husband Tim of Granite City, Ill., and Tonia Pyatt of New Florence; by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, Kevin Cruzen and Greg Pyatt; four brothers and one sister.
Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Baker-Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home in New Florence.

Funeral services were held at Baker-Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Florence, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, with Pastor Darrel Deeker officiating.
Burial was at New Florence Cemetery, New Florence.
