Gary Leimkuehler, principal at Hermann High School, has been named deputy superintendent of the Gasconade County R-1 School District. He will replace Mark Brooks, who is retiring at the end of this school term. The appointment of Leimkuehler will need board approval, and will probably be acted on at the February school board meeting.
Leimkuehler also won the Educator of the Year Award given by the Hermann Chamber of Commerce last Thursday.
Megan LaBoube, a senior at Hermann High School, won the Chamber of Commerce’s Youth Award. She is the daughter of Allen and Nancy LaBoube.
