Hermann Friends of Scenic Regional Library will host a silent auction, ‘Love Your Library’, giving everyone a chance to do just that on Feb. 9. The auction and reception will be held this Saturday at the Hermann Branch, 601 Market Street, from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m., and everyone is invited.
“The Library is the hub of our community and serves a growing population,” said Sheri Hausman, Branch Manager. “The ‘Friends’ group is designed to support the continued development of the Library and compliment programs that already include: free internet and WiFi services, audio and eBooks, business and tax information, Book clubs, children’s programming and wonderful reading material.”

Building on their experience as volunteers, the Friends organization appealed to individuals as well as to members of the Chamber, gathering a number of specialty items for the event. Over 100 stores, individuals and businesses will offer everything from wine and food pairings to wine tastings, a gourmet dinner at an artist retreat, jewelry, bed and breakfast stays, hand stitched quilts and more.
