Hermann girls seeded No. 1 in district basketball tournament; Bearcats are No. 6

Hermann’s girls have been seeded No. 1 in the Class 3 District 6 basketball tournament that starts next  Monday, Feb. 18, at North Callaway High School in Kingdom City.
The Lady Bearcats drew a first-round bye, since there are just seven girls team in the district. There are eight teams in the boys District 6 tournament.
One of Hermann’s four losses was to North Callaway, the No. 2 seed in the girls’ district.
Hermann’s girls will meet the winner of the South Callaway and Montgomery County game on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m. The South Callaway-Montgomery game is set for 8 p.m. Feb. 18.
North Callaway and Winfield meet at 5 p.m. next Monday, followed by the O’Fallon Christian-Wright City game at 6:30 p.m.
The girls district championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The Bearcats were seeded sixth in the district and will meet North Callaway at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Hermann’s boys lost to the T-Birds in overtime in the first round of the South Callaway Tournament on Jan. 7.
