Theme chosen for Hermann’s 61st Maifest parade

Celebrating spring is this years Maifest Parade theme, as Hermann observes the 61st annual Maifest on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19.
Organizors have chosen “Willkommen Fruhlingszeit” (Welcome Springtime) as the theme.
Its not too early to sign up for the parade by calling Cathi Utley at the Hermann Advertiser-Courier at 573-486-5418.
Betty Hartbauer, Maifest chairman, is inviting vendors to be a part of the open-air Volksplatz market on Schiller Street.
You can apply now. The booth space is 10 ft. by 10 ft. and the cost is $55. More than one booth space can be reserved at an additional cost of $50 each. A check or money order should be made payable to the Hermann Maifest Council. Also include a check to the City of Hermann for the city license fee using the guide on the permit application.
The Hermann Maifest Council will process the permits with the city and have them ready for you at check-in.
