Peoples Savings Bank is announcing the Peoples Savings Bank Scholarship Awards Program. Under the Program, four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to seniors attending a high school in the cities of Hermann, Montgomery City, New Haven and Francis Howell High School. Students attending schools meeting the criteria are eligible to apply.
“We are a community bank and we always attempt to support the communities we do business in,” said Mark Laune, president and CEO of Peoples Savings Bank. “What better way to help the community than to assist the young adults of our community through this opportunity to make their lives more successful.”
The program guidelines are as follows: The student must be a graduating senior with a record of volunteerism in the community through non-school sponsored activities as well as participation in extracurricular school activities.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent grading system) and plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college or technical school.
