St. Louis Ambush Announce Fire & Ice SC Day
St. Charles, MO – St. Louis Ambush have set February 1 as “Fire & Ice SC Day with the St. Louis Ambush.” The Fire & Ice Soccer Club is a member of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and is based in Columbia, IL. In their first season, Fire & Ice captured the 2013 WPSL Midwest Championship and Head Coach Lindsay Kennedy-Eversmeyer was named Coach of the Year by the WPSL.
Fire & Ice will be selling tickets to the February 1 contest between the Ambush and Milwaukee Wave at 1:35 p.m. at the Family Arena. Team members will be honored on their division championship at halftime. A portion of each ticket sold by Fire & Ice will benefit the club. The WPSL is the largest women’s soccer league in the world. Fire & Ice SC is an independent club whose main focus is providing nationwide exposure and an opportunity for high school and college women to play at a premier level. Fire & Ice Owner, General Manager and Head Coach Lindsay Kennedy-Eversmeyer is the only female ever to play for a St. Louis professional indoor soccer team (St. Louis Steamers, 2005).
The Ambush, presented by Simmons First National Bank, embark on a four-game road trip against the Baltimore Blast, Pennsylvania Roar, Missouri Comets and Milwaukee Wave, before returning to home turf for the February 1 duel.
