Montgomery County Extension Council election ends Jan. 20

ExtensionlogoThe University of Missouri Extension Council, Montgomery County, annual election is now underway and will continue until January 20, 2014.
Citizens of voting age in Montgomery County, pursuant to the provisions of Sec.262-577, RSMo, 1969, will have an opportunity to vote and elect members to the University of Missouri Extension Council.
The ballots for this election, together with voting instructions, will be available at the following locations:
Bellflower: Hicks Store, Service and Supply Coop, City Hall.
Jonesburg: City Hall and ADM.
High Hill: Old Farmer’s Mercantile Store
Wellsville: City Hall and Wellsville Optic News.
New Florence: City Hall and Service & Supply Coop
Rhineland: MFA and ADM.
Middletown: Country Store.
Montgomery City: Farm Bureau, MFA, City Hall and Montgomery County Extension Office.
Citizens may vote only for those nominees in the township in which you reside (check your voter registration card if you have one). However, voters may cast their ballot at any of the locations as long as they vote for their nominee.
The elected and appointed members of the Montgomery County Extension Council will guide and direct extension work within the county. The nominees and their township are as follows:

Bear Creek Township, Vacancy; Danville Township, Vacancy; Montgomery Township, Vacancy; Prairie Township, Lois Oden; Upper Loutre Township, Vacancy; Lower Loutre Township, Paul Korman; City of Wellsville, Vacancy; City of Montgomery Stacey Schlanker. Write-in candidates welcome.
