The Gasconade County R-1 School District’s Board of Education took up the issue of setting a date for graduation at last Thursday’s regular monthly meeting.
Dr. Chris Neale, R-1 superintendent, said the exceptional weather year made that solution challenging.
After considering instruction, financial ramifications, ancillary plans and the opinions expressed by teachers in the audience, the school board tabled the matter on Thursday night and instructed the administration to gather more information.
The board further set a meeting for Friday, February 14, at 3:15 p.m. to examine any new available information. In their special session last Friday, the board set grduation for the Hermann High School class of 2014 for Wednesday, May 21.
