Engemann of Hermann’s Tri-County Trucking receives award from MDTA
Denis Engemann, owner of Tri County Trucking and Excavating, Inc. of Hermann received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Missouri Dump Truckers Association’s (MDTA) 44th Annual Convention and Trade Show, held Jan. 24-25 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia.
In 1973, Denis, along with his late brother, Gerald, organized Tri-County Trucking and Excavating (Tri-County) in Hermann and began to supply local ready-mixed concrete and asphalt plants with materials.
They joined MDTA in order to have a voice in Jefferson City and to network with other dump truck haulers from across the state.
Throughout the years, Tri-County has evolved from tandem dump trucks to truck and pup-trailers to today’s end dump and quad-axle trucks, but one thing remains the same – the quality of service and dedication to the customer. Denis serves on the MDTA board of directors and annually hosts MDTA’s fall board meeting.
MDTA was established in 1970 and represents over 200 over-the-road haulers of dry bulk commodities throughout Missouri.
