Hermann’s B&P Club’s fund raiser a big success

Sunday’s fund-raising event in the Upper City Park for the City Cemetery restoration project produced over $11,500, one of the most successful summer fund raisers ever by the Hermann Brush & Palette Club.   • Regional drug task force makes 70-plus arrests in 2nd Quarter

    More than 130 drug-related charges were issued to nearly 80 people arrested during the 2nd Quarter of this year, according to officials of the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG). Gasconade County is one of the six counties that are members of LANEG. Other county members include Camden, Crawford, Laclede, Maries and Osage. The task force also serves the cities of Lebanon, Osage Beach, Camdenton, Cuba, Belle, Steelville and Bourbon.

  • Hermann School District moves ahead with developing drug-test policy for students

    A random drug-testing policy for students in extra-curricular activities and those who park their cars on campus will be developed after getting the green light last week from the Gasconade County R-1 School District. A committee of students, faculty and parents will be assembled in the coming weeks to begin crafting the policy.
