Like many of us after last weekend, I am wienered out! Wurstfest was incredible but was I ever tired on Sunday night. I was so happy to see hoards of tourist back in town. Stone Hill had the Held family making sausage to everyone’s delight and the Hoftgarden had a pig roasting on an open pit, which made for good pictures.  In between those two were busy stores and restaurants.

    I can smell the sausage now. Wurstfest in Hermann. What a great time. Enjoy this weekend, all. Jakes had a good crowd last weekend. Kids’ learning the correct way to track and hunt is a blessing.     What would happen if a school bus, a tour bus or one of our trolleys over turned or got into a wreck?     The calendar says it’s still winter, but the staff of the Gasconade County R-1 School District already are gearing for summer school. This year’s version will run Monday, June 1,- Friday, June 26 — 20 days’ worth of classes, field trips and fun. Summer school will be from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and held at Hermann Elementary School for kindergarteners through 8th Grade. Health forms and enrollment forms will be sent
