Legislative effort to limit revenue would not affect Hermann Municipal Court

An effort by a Missouri lawmaker to further limit the amount of municipal court revenue used to fuel a city’s operating budget would not affect Hermann. The Hermann Municipal Court already provides far less than the limit proposed by a St. Louis County state senator. Missouri law now limits the amount of municipal court money to no more than 30 percent of a city’s operating budget, adopted in recent years

    Filing began Tuesday for positions that will be decided in the April 4 elections. Offices that will be on that ballot include school board seats, city aldermanic positions and directorships on ambulance boards and the Hermann Area District Hospital Board of Directors. Four days after her University of Central Missouri volleyball team lost in the NCAA regional tournament at Duluth, Minn., she joined the Jennies basketball team and helped them erase a 21-point deficit last Monday against Quincy University. Technology has been added by 911 Central Dispatching to allow 911 calls to be made by text  message.
