A continuous two-month cleanup by barge that will be traveling downstream from Brunswick to Hermann this September and October, passing through Jameson Island Big Muddy Refuge, Boonville, Cooper’s Landing and Jefferson City. Missouri River Relief (MoRR) is operating a barge with five open motorboats to haul recovered debris along a 153-mile reach from Brunswick to Hermann.   • Hermann School District moves ahead with developing drug-test policy for students

    A random drug-testing policy for students in extra-curricular activities and those who park their cars on campus will be developed after getting the green light last week from the Gasconade County R-1 School District. A committee of students, faculty and parents will be assembled in the coming weeks to begin crafting the policy.     By staff writer The fourteen Hermann FFA officers went to Tan-Tar-A Resort at Lake of the Ozarks for the annual officer retreat. While there, the officer team planned out this years activities and bonded as a team. The 14 Hermann FFA members were interviewed and elected into office in April for the coming year.
