Hermann school boards adopts resolution opposing Amendment 3

The directors of the Gasconade County R-1 School District are joining their counterparts throughout Missouri in formally opposing a proposal that would change the way classroom teachers are evaluated. The R-1 board earlier this month adopted a resolution opposing voter approval of Amendment 3, one of several statewide issues on the Nov. 4 general election ballot.     After looking at the cost of putting in place and administering a random drug-test policy in other public school districts, directors of Gasconade County R-1 Thursday night opted to delay further action on their own policy — at least until district finances become more definite.
