Dedication service of the remodeled sanctuary at St. Paul UCC is May 5

A three-year remodeling project of the sanctuary at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Hermann has been completed and will be dedicated on Sunday, May 5. The newly-refurbished area will be dedicated at the 10:15 a.m. worship service Sunday, led by the church’s pastor, Rick Riedel. The public is welcome.   • Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service is Sunday at St. George

Bob Seaman, pastor of the Hermann United Methodist Church, will be the main speaker at the Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service, to be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, at St. George Church. The public is invited. The title of Pastor Seaman’s talk will be, “He Gave Thanks.” St. George Church will be the host for this year’s service, which was switched to a Sunday this year.

  • Students at St. George School fast to help Hermann Food Pantry

    By staff writer Seventh and eighth graders at St. George School in Hermann participated in an “eye-opening” 24-hour event which included fasting, prayer activities, and discussion about hunger in our world. The students set a goal of $350 and asked for donations from the parishioners to help with their project.
