Car buffs polish up their wheels for the River City Cruisers’ Car Show Sept. 7.

This year’s Car Show in the Park will be held Sunday, Sept. 7, in Hermann Park, off Highway 19. The 15th annual River City Cruisers Car Club will feature plenty of autos, food and drink and a 50-50 drawing.     The Hermann Area Chorus will be warming up its collective vocal chords next week as rehearsals begin for the Fall Concert. Practice begins Thursday, Aug. 21, in the Hermann Middle School music room.     This year’s Cajun Concert on the Hill hit its 25th anniversary, and like most years, it was hot. But that didn’t seem to bother the large numbers that turned out to dance to the music of Cajun music, this year provided by Brett Denais & T-Rouge from south Louisiana.
