Memo from the Hermann Board of Aldermen to groups planning events in City Park that will attract a crowd: Bring your own tables. After the 2015 River City Cruisers Car Show, don’t expect the tables to be trucked down from the Rotunda any more. The aldermen last week decided to no longer furnish tables to organizations with events in the park. It seems two events set for the same time

    The Hermann Jaycees will be hosting their Jaycees Bier and Wine Garten each Saturday of October, 11 a.m.-11 p.m., at the Hermann Sesquicentennial Park on Gutenberg Street. This is the Hermann Jaycees first time hosting this event and organizers are excited about new events including stein hoisting and a Friday night event for locals.     The new Amtrak station in Hermann will be celebrated Friday morning when officials snips the ribbon, officially marking the opening. The ceremony is set for 10 a.m. and is one of many events in a busy weekend in Hermann.
