Hermann boys and girls track teams compete at Linn Invitational

By staff writer Hermann’s boys track team scored 26 points and finished eighth in the 18-team Linn Invitational last Monday, April 7. The Hermann girls placed 13th with 15 points.   • Hermann’s Gleeson, Lane on MBCA’s all-state basketball team

    By staff writer Hermann’s Karinne Lane and Jamie Gleeson, both four-year varsity starters who joined the 1,000-point career scoring club this season, were named to the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association’s Class 3 All-State team, announced last Wednesday. Gleeson, 5-11 post player, ended her career with 1,398 points, third on Hermann’s all-time scoring list. Lane, a 5-6 guard, finished with 1,287 points, fifth on the all-time list.   • Hermann’s first home track meet canceled by storm threat

    Three Hermann sprinters, Marshall Mure (left), Saige Hale (center) and Dylan Hudson ran stride-for-stride in their heat of the 100 meter dash last Thursday at Hermann High School. The quad meet, which turned out to be a seven-team meet, was canceled after only four events because of the severe weather warning. The non-medal meet will probably not be rescheduled, school officials said last week.
