In what was probably the best game the Bearcats played all season, this team put together 80 points with a 54 percent shooting percentage (28 for 52) and got mean under the boards with 33 rebounds, creating 13 turnovers.
“I thought we played really well,” said Coach Vinyard. “I thought we did a really nice job of controlling the tempo of the game. We made them shoot tough, contested shots, and then rebounded and pushed the ball down the floor really well.”
Trent Anderson had his best game of the season, going eight for 10, scoring 24 points and hitting eight out of ten free throws. The team hit 82 percent of their free throws overall. Rhet Scheidegger, Chet Moeckli and Boyd Phillips has 11 points each, with Moeckli hitting two of three attempts at three-pointers. Holden Ash had nine points and Andrew Schannuth 6, as well as two for three at the free throw line.
