Anyone have leftover turkey for sandwiches? I swear that’s the best part of the Thanksgiving dinner!
Are you ready for some Christmas fun that is close to home? Try Pea Ridge Christmas Tree Farm! It is THE place to be this month!
I have a question: How can folks decide to grow wholesale trees, then add on some evergreens, make a few wreaths and when they aren’t looking, become the biggest destination Christmas Tree Farm in the state of Missouri? No one can ever call the Roods lazy! They are community minded and gosh darn, just good folks! Congratulations on a successful business venture!
Stone Hill Winery is another place to head this weekend. Kristkindl Markt will be open and it promises, as always, to delight your senses.
The smells and tastes of this event is a memory to hold on to forever. Kriskindle is German. Hermann is German. So it’s kind of like a rule to take part. In fact, I think Chief Walker is making a list of those who don’t attend. Could that list end up in the hands of a certain bearded, jolly man? Maybe.
Starting this Friday, you can log on to www.hermannadvertisercourier.com to track Santa! Hermann EMS is providing the link to keep an eye on Santa! You can play games in his toy shop, learn about elves and on Christmas Eve, follow him around the world! Bookmark the link on your phone so you can easily have something to keep the kids busy.
As I’m writing, I am enjoying a bai antioxidant drink in a fabulous Maui Coconut Raspberry flavor. YUM! Yesterday, I took bai tangerine and peach and mixed them together for a glass of deliciousness! They are distributed by our locals at Calvin’s Distributing, so try some and know you are shopping locally at the same time. You will love the taste, the 5 calories and antioxidants! If you throw in a little vodka . . . perfection!
Before you get inebriated on the new bai concoction, stop by the Old German School for the German Bake Sale. The apple cake is my favorite!! You can also pick up all kinds of gifts while there.
Tablescapes will be available for viewing this weekend. They are incredible. See the ad!
A big Thank You goes to everyone who made this year’s Lantern Parade such a lovely event! It was so special! Shari Hausman and Mary Brennell will never take credit but they did a great job leading the path to a great parade.
Let’s see . . . Kristkindl Markt at Stone Hill Winery, Holiday House Tours, Pea Ridge Christmas Tree Farm, Tablescapes, Deutchheim Museum and the bake sale at the Historic Hermann Museum and German School. Be sure to take your vitamins because you’ll need energy for this busy and fun weekend!
