Adam Puchta Winery in Hermann held its 7th annual Doe Camp on Friday, Nov. 3, and raised $14,800 for the Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer and the Just Call Me Ray foundation.
Doe Camp is a ladies night out; however, “bucks” were welcome. The evening featured wine tastings, cash-and-carry vendors, massages, Parker’s Pizzas and Louis Montague specials, raffles, live auction and much more.
About 400 people attended the fund raiser. The proceeds are donated to the Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer and to the Just Call Me Ray foundation to continue assisting those in the community fighting cancer and help raise awareness of early breast cancer detection and warnings about breast implants.
This year’s combined proceeds from the large outdoor raffle packages, vendor drawings, live auction, Doe Camp T-shirt sales, Plinko and other contributions were donated to the Doe Camp event.
“I wish to thank all the winery employees and friends of the winery for volunteering their time at this year’s Doe Camp; without their support the evening wouldn’t be nearly as successful,” says Aimee Viehmann, winery general manager. “I also want to thank the vendors and donors, Steve Leslie and Tom Jacquin for emceeing, our auctioneer Bart Korman and to all the “does” and “bucks” that came out to support us and the community. It’s fun and rewarding when so many people work together towards the same goal.”
The 2018 Doe Camp has been scheduled for Friday, Nov. 2, and will be held at Adam Puchta Winery. To learn more about Doe Camp, visit www.adampuchatwine.com or call 573-486-5596.
