Gasconade County officials await final paperwork on roof-rehap grant before moving forward

Posted on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 10:55 am

A steady rain fell Thursday afternoon and as much as a an inch or two of snow was forecast for Saturday as Gasconade County government officials continued to await the final set of paperwork from state government on a grant to help pay for the repair of the Courthouse roof.
“We’re waiting on DNR (Missouri Department of Natural Resources) for the letter on the grant so we can sign it and go forward,” said Presiding Commissioner Larry Miskel.
Just as he did in recent weeks to shake loose the application processĀ  within the state agency, Miskel might have to turn to a higher authority — State Sen. Mike Kehoe, R-Jefferson City — to pry loose the letter.
