Gasconade County Salary Commission work could give glimpse into 2018 fiscal health

Will Gasconade County’s elected officials receive a pay raise in the next few years?
That question will be answered sometime this month after all the financial figures are assembled for the county’s Salary Commission — the group of all the elected officeholders who sit as a group to decide whether they will get a bigger paycheck in their next term of office.
Last Thursday morning, when County Clerk Lesa Lietzow was discussing the upcoming Salary Commission session, the outlook for bigger paychecks wasn’t that bright.
