Hermann Bearcats fall 9-0 to South Callaway, prepare to host Sullivan Thursday

Hermann’s Chase Racherbaumer receives a throw at first base to put out a South Callaway runner. Racherbaumer had one of the Bearcats’ 3 hits in Tuesday’s loss to the Bulldogs.

The Hermann Bearcats could muster only 3 hits Tuesday afternoon in a 9-0 nonconference road loss to the South Callaway Bulldogs.

Starting pitcher senior Matt Wade worked 4 innings, giving up 6 runs on 6 hits and 1 walk and striking out only 2. Senior Kody Hackmann came on for 2 innings of relief, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits.

Collecting hits — all singles — for the Bearcats were Chase Racherbaumer, Chase McKague and Hackmann.

Hermann is scheduled to host the Sullivan Eagles Thursday afternoon at Dick Ochsner Ball Park in a Four Rivers Conference matchup.
