Lady Bearcats defeat Pacific 65-54; will close out regular season at New Haven Thursday

The Herman Varsity Lady Bearcats ran their season mark to 21-3 Tuesday night on the road defeating the Pacific Indians 65-54.

Senior forward Brooke Grosse topped all scorers with 17 points, including 3 3-pointers, while juniors Allison Stiers and Emma Godat also scored in double figures.

Also on Tuesday night, the Varsity Bearcats, at home, fell to the St. James Tigers 61-39. Sophomore center Trent Anderson led the Bearcats in scoring with 10.

The Lady Bearcats are scheduled to close out the regular season Thursday night at New Haven while the Varsity and JV boys’ teams travel to New Haven for their final games Friday night.

The Class 3 District 9 boys’ and girls’ tournaments will begin Monday hosted by Fatima High School in Westphalia. The Lady Bearcats will play Monday night against Dixon while the Bearcats take on St. James Tuesday night.
