Thanks in part to a key fourth down pass completion late in the third quarter, Hermann's football team was able to keep momentum and go on to a 38-22 win at St. James on Friday night.
The Bearcats scored the first 22 points of the game and made enough big plays in the second half to post their first win of the season. They lost their opener at home to Sullivan, 27-24, in Week 1.
Brett Houska bulled his way into the endzone on the first play following a Lucas Budnik to Phil Wright pass on 4th and 3 late in the third quarter. That gave the 'Cats a 30-14 lead and came after the Tigers had seemingly come to life with a 65-yard pass play.
