Wharf Street, Riverfront Park to be closed before and during fireworks
By staff writer Due to the recent changes on Wharf Street at the entrance to Riverfront Park, changes are being made for Saturday's 4th of July celebration.
Police Chief Frank Tennant said this week that Wharf Street from Gutenberg Street to Schiller Street will be closed to all traffic at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Riverfront Park and Wharf Street will not be open for vehicles, except those of event organizers and vendors, after 6 p.m. (Read Wednesday's Advertiser-Courier for the complete story.)
