Gasconade County Sheriff John Romanus is scheduled to discuss the half-cent sales tax for law enforcement on the April 3 ballot at Monday night’s meeting of the county’s Pachyderm Club. The gathering is set for 6:30 in the Swiss Evangelical Reformed Church.
The proposed sales tax is the only countywide issue on the April 3 ballot. It is estimated to raise about $960,000 and the money could only be used for law enforcement purposes.
