Visit Hermann is partnering with three other communities to promote, “Bike Katy, Ride Amtrak.”
The partnership is a result of a CARES Act grant that was given to the City of Hermann to promote tourism.
“Bike Katy, Ride Amtrak” is a collaborative effort of Sedalia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau, Washington Chamber of Commerce Division of Tourism, and the City of Hermann Tourism Department. All four communities have the two common denominators: the Katy Trail and an Amtrak Station. Events to kick off the initiative were held Thursday, Nov. 5, in McKittrick and Hermann.
“This collaborative effort will tie our four communities together to promote two major tourism assets that we have, the Katy Trail and the Amtrak service,” said Tammy Bruckerhoff, director of tourism and economic development for the City of Hermann. “We want to encourage more visitors to ride the Katy Trail and utilize the Amtrak in their travels, too.”
