PRESS RELEASES FOR AUGUST 26-SEPTEMBER 1, 2019

On 8/26/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) arrested Ray Richard Kitchen, age 31 of Belle on a Gasconade County warrant charging him with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree. He was transported to the Crawford County Jail and incarcerated in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

On 8/26/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 400 Block of N. Sycamore in Bland for a reported theft. The victim reported person(s) unknown had stolen items from his truck. The investigation continues.

On 8/26/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 3800 Block of Fourth Street for reported trespassing. The victim reported person(s) unknown had been dumping trash on her property for the past few months. There are no suspects currently.

On 8/27/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 1900 Block of Highway 50 for reported Elder Abuse in the 3rd Degree. The investigation revealed that an elderly male was reported victim of a scam. The investigation continues.

On 8/27/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 1800 Block of Highway F to assist the Missouri Department of Social Services. No further information can be released.

On 8/27/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 3500 Block of Fourth Street for a report of abandoned property. The property was seized, and the investigation continues.

On 8/27/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 100 Block of Railroad Avenue for reported domestic violence. A report will be forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney’s office for review.

On 8/28/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 3300 Block of Highway 19 for reported property damage. The victim reported person(s) unknown had tampered with an All-Terrain-Vehicle (ATV). The investigation continues.

On 8/29/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 1800 Block of Koenig Road for reported property damage. The victim reported a fence was damaged. There are no suspects currently.

On 8/30/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 4200 Block of Republican Road for a reported theft. The victim reported a Kubota tractor and bush-hog had been stolen. With assistance from vigilant landowners in the area, the tractor and bush-hog were recovered. The investigation continues. Sheriff John Romanus wishes to thank these landowners for the vigilance and willingness to embrace the “see something, say something” mindset.

On 8/30/2019, members of the GCSO, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group executed a Search Warrant in Bland. During the investigation, a bag of crystallized substance believed to be Methamphetamine, along with Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia associated with the consumption and distribution of illegal narcotics was seized. A white female was located on scene and released pending formal charges for distribution and possession of a controlled substance.

On 8/30/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 400 Block of N. Frost for a reported theft. The victim reported person(s) unknown had stolen items including a trashcan, cash, a vacuum, and miscellaneous cleaning supplies.

GCSO Deputies continued the investigation and based upon information provided by the victim, Deputies later recovered numerous items of stolen property at a residence in the 100 Block of Railroad Avenue, or what is believed to be stolen property to include a red Radio Flyer wagon, a vacuum, cleaning supplies, tools, a weed trimmer, a pole saw, knife, and miscellaneous other items. Sheriff John Romanus wishes to thank this victim for her vigilance and willingness to embrace the “see something, say something” mindset. This phase of the investigation continues also.

On 8/30/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the area of Highway 19 and Dry Hill for a motor vehicle accident. While no injuries were reported, Deputies arrested Davis Eugene Sansevere, age 37 of Ferguson for Driving While Intoxicated and Careless and Imprudent Driving. He was later released on a summons.

On 8/30/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 3500 Block of Rolling Home Park for a reported theft. The victim reported her rear license plate had been stolen. The investigation continues.

On 8/30/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 1700 Block of Broken Arrow for a reported theft. The victim reported person(s) unknown stole his brown Boxer mix dog. The dog has black coloring around its mouth and a white stripe in the center of his forehead. The dog is valued at $400. The investigation continues.

On 8/31/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 3900 Block of Canaan Road for a report of found property and theft. The victim reported finding a tractor on his property, which had been stolen earlier from a residence on Republican Road. The victim also reported that person(s) unknown had entered an unoccupied residence on his property and attempted to steal copper, causing more than $2200 in damage. The victim also reported that the suspect(s) had cut down several trees on the property valued at $1500 each. The victim estimates his total loss at nearly $13,500.

On 9/1/2019, members of the GCSO responded to the 3500 Block of Rolling Home Park for reported domestic assault. Subsequently, Nathon Wheeler, age 34 of Owensville was arrested for Domestic Assault and transported to the Crawford County Jail pending the issuance of a warrant(s).
