Horsin' Around enjoys
success with '21 show
The 2021 Horsin' Around Fun Show kicked off at 10 a.m. Saturday, offering local riders an opportunity to participate in the annual event in Rhineland.
The horse show offers western, English, and speed classes and a few suprise classes, such as the costume class. The program even featured classes for those who do not have real live horses, including the stick horse class and all-species halter class. These classes are open to all ages and do not require a horse.
Organizers also offer EQD classes, which are open to entrants who have disabilities. The show is open to those riders of all abilities and allow a person to join them in the arena in case they need extra support.
Supporters say the focus of the event is not just the fundraising, but giving local children an opportunity to shine with their talents, sharing their riding abilities in a competitive environment. There are numerous local youth who are athletes in the nontraditional sense. They are strong, talented, brave and -- for many -- this will be their one and only horse show of the year.
The show raises funds for St. George School in Hermann.
