What a great turn out for the Annual Pullin’ For the Park Truck Pull we had in Rhineland on Saturday night! The heat did not deter the crowd from turning out for this event. I have not heard official totals yet but it was a good one. I did not venture out in the heat but did have some incredible pork burgers delivered up to me early in the evening and they were delicious as always. Nothing like a grilled pork burger with sweet barbecue sauce from the snack stand. A giant thank you goes out to all the people who attended and supported this event. We are pretty proud of our park area in Rhineland and it is always being used for activities.
The children are all back in school, even those that were quarantined for covid have returned. I am told that the bus that picks the kids up on the hill is a “flat nosed” bus so I had to go look for myself and it definitely has a flat front on it. Sometimes when a child is describing something they get it right every single time.
We had a lot of thunder noise a couple nights over here and very minimal rain, not enough to show on the rain gauge the first couple times then we were graced with one-tenth of an inch. The grass is getting brown and we need some rain anyway.
If you have not had a chance to see Mike Languille’s pictures of the tractor pull yet, please check them out on facebook. He caught pictures of people having fun and I could pick out a lot of familiar faces. Sending out a giant thank you to you for supporting our community so well. We whole heartedly appreciate it.
