4-H members compete at state horse show

Each year, Montgomery County 4-H has many members who compete at the State 4H Horse Show in Sedalia each July. Participants were Lance Uthlaut, Elaina Uthlaut, Amelia Uthlaut, and Faith Engemann, representing Big Spring Busy Beavers; and Presley Schluss, Avery Ridgley, Ava Rakers, and Gigi Francois represented Jonesburg Kountry Kids 4H Club.  All members won ribbons at the event. The Uthlauts and Gigi Francois won ribbons in the speed events.  Avery Ridgley won third out of 32 in the Trail Class, while Ava Rakers and Presley Schluss won solid ribbons in Western and English Pleasure.  Faith Engemann walked away with a State Championship in Pony Pleasure. County 4H Club leaders who take the riders, are Keely Uthlaut and Kate Engemann.
