Community Christmas collects toys

Bartow Malloy (above) says they are still collecting toys and adopting familes for the Community Christmas Program, which provides Christmas presents for the children of about 70 local families.

She says there are two ways to contribute. One is to “adopt” an entire family and the other is to give toys or a cash donation to purchase gifts for the children. Examples of the types of gifts needed are baby dolls and baby doll clothes, trucks, cars, Barbies, CDs, CD players, make-up for teenagers, hair brushes and hair ties, baby toys, books, games, bikes, and tricycles.

Toy donations can be picked-up by volunteers or can be droped-off at the distribution center (the old Pamida Store).
