Hermann Area District Hospital has announced plans for holding a final large-scale COVID-19 vaccine clinic for Gasconade County.
The clinic will be held Saturday, beginning in the morning, at Hermann Middle School. Officials told the Advertiser-Courier they are currently scheduling appointments for anyone wanting to be vaccinated against the virus. Times are not being set for how long the clinic will run, since the scheduling is being filled for the morning hours and with vaccinations given until the demand has been exhausted, while supply of the Pfizer vaccine lasts.
Please call (573) 486-2118 to make an appointment, or leave contact information by following instructions found at www.hadh.org.
All Missouri residents, 16 years and over, are eligible for a vaccination at the clinic. The Pfizer vaccine for coronavirus was safely tested and authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for persons 16 and over. Other brands of covid vaccine have only been tested in people 18 and over. It's not anticipated that the Pfizer vaccine will be offered in the area again, due to storage limitations. However, booster doses of the vaccine will be available for all of those who are inoculated on Saturday.
