Hermann Wurst Haus Wins Big at the Missouri Association of Meat Processors Convention

(Hermann, MO) – The Hermann Wurst Haus won eight prestigious awards for their artisan, hand crafted

smoked sausages and smoked meats at the Missouri Association of Meat Processors 81st annual

convention in Columbia, Missouri on Saturday March 7.

The MAMP convention, one of the largest meat processor events in the United Sates, represents over

115 meat processors of all sizes. Attendees attend seminars, an 88 booth trade show and a sausage,

ham, bacon competition to select the ‘Best of the Wurst”. Entries are judged by a panel of academia,

professional sausage makers and student grad students.

The Hermann Wurst Haus received 8 awards including Grand Champion for Ring Bologna; Reserve Grand

Champion for Hickory Smoked Turkey and Coffee Flavored Bacon; Champion for Sugar Cured Hickory

Smoked Pork Loin and German Bologna, and Reserve Champion for BBQ Flavored Jerky, Peppered

Venison Sweet Bologna and Garlic Butter Bratwurst.
