Adam Puchta Winery is preparing for its 10th Annual Doe Camp, which will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the winery.
The event in the past was held in November to coincide with the opening of deer season, hence the title, Doe Camp. It was created for all the hunters' wives to have a girls' night out for a cause, quickly growing into an event for all. The run has been moved to September this year in favor of milder weather.
The evening will feature such activities as wine tastings, wine slushies, beer, cash-and-carry vendors, live music by local favorite Twice Baked, raffles, games, and food from the 1855 Cellar Bistro.
A portion of the proceeds from this event are donated to the Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer and to the Just Call Me Ray Foundation, to continue assisting those in the community fighting cancer and to help raise awareness of early breast cancer detection.
