COVID-19 In Gasconade County
COVID-19 In Gasconade County

The number of new COVID diagnosis per week continued to rise rapidly for a 3rd week in a row.  Prior to last week, our county had peaked at 110 new cases in a 7 day period just before Thanksgiving.  Last we had 141 new cases in a single 7 day period.  This pushed our "7 Day Positivity Rate" to nearly 20% and our "7 Day Cases Rate per 100k" briefly to nearly 1000.

COVID-19 Healthcare Worker Vaccination (1a)

Last week 22 more people who live or work in our county have reported being vaccinated (67 total). At this time neither Gasconade County Health Department nor Hermann hospital have received any vaccine, and those healthcare workers who have been vaccinated have traveled out of our county to get their vaccine (mostly at Mercy Washington).

Community Vaccination

The state and Governer's office had promised an update on the vaccine roll-out plan last week, but did not give un updated timeline on when we will be allowed to begin vaccination of other groups.  They have promised another update this week.  At this time, neither Hermann Hospital and Clinics, nor the Gasconade County Health Department are taking names of those interested in being vaccinated.  As soon as we have vaccine and are allowed to give it, we will announce where and when to call to make your appointment.
