The “Jazz at the Courthouse” event sponsored by the Hermann Arts Council showcased art that is installed in the courthouse. The artists that painted individual murals that are installed in the interior of the courthouse dome were present to discuss their works of art. From left, Catherine A. Artist Linda L. Heck was also present to discuss her painting, “Auction Morning Passage,” located near the front entrance of the courthouse first floor. She said she wanted subject matter that would be meaningful and relate to the history of Gasconade County.
“Most figures in the painting are friends or family who hold special places in my life and who are descendants of early Gasconade County families,” she said.
